Rise of Isengard, vous avez cru y échapper?
The quests:
They are generally interesting and well organized in the map, but their number is insufficient and just permit to reach the new level cap. Those players who are playing in groups will even need to play longer, without remaining quests, except the repeatable ones, to reach level75 due to the sharing of killing xp. It is a total non- sense for ammorpg to discourage grouping! It is not possible to skip an area and there is no alternative than repeating exactly the same quests with our re-rolls.
The new raid, Draigoch's Lair:
This new raid is particularly interesting in its concept, unfortunately, as it is often the case, Turbine makes it so repetitive and so long with 12 players that it quickly becomes annoying, without speaking of its bugs (see below).
The new level cap
It was a bit “refreshing” to be again able to gain xp but this was only for a few days due to the total lack of any new end-game group instances except a bugged raid.
Release of a poorly designed unfinished version:
A large number of issues at release with some of them rendering the game particularly unconfortable. As exemples: the Pit Pot filled with its invisible holes that could not have been ignored if the instance has been correctly tested during pre-release phases, the bugs in the only new raid/group instance of the game, Draigoch, that kill theencounter close to its end. The latter has not been corrected weeks after the release and in-game support still unwilling to assist players, as usual with Turbine's product defects. The French version of the game was also only partially translated at release and players experienced worse that non translation, with hundreds of items, npc and mobs named with the very immersive "TBD" tag.
To sum up, Rise ofIsengard is a poor expansion, poorly designed, with lack of professionalism, lack of technical skill, insufficient in-game support and definitely not worth the money we paid.
It would be a very good candidate for the 2011 worst mmorpg expansion awards.

Re: Rise of Isengard, vous avez cru y échapper?

Re: Rise of Isengard, vous avez cru y échapper?

Mon petit commentaire sur lotro initialement intitulé "Rise of Isengard a candidate for the worst expansion fo the year?" est devenu "My thoughts on the Rise of Isengard" après un coup de baguette magique de la chargée de com lotro.
